As both residential and commercial movers, we get to see a lot of interesting places and move pretty cool stuff. Recently we had the opportunity to work with lab equipment, specifically STAR liquid handling machines, for the Grifols Biomat Plasma Donation Center. We assisted with downstacking and shrink wrapping the machines. This is how we prepared for it…
One thing about Little Guys Movers is that we’ll never give you a one-size-fits-all quote. We customize every estimate based on the needs of our client.
Usually we can provide a quote over the phone. But when it comes to commercial moves, especially something complicated like moving lab equipment, we sometimes like to visit the site in person. For this move, we toured the facility to get the lay of the land and ensure we understood what Grifols required of us. We took tons of pictures to review and asked lots of questions — preparation is key!
The Right Equipment
A huge part of completing commercial moves is ensuring we have the right equipment. We’re not just going to show up with a standard set of moving equipment — we’ll always have exactly what’s needed for the job, because we determined that ahead of time.
When moving lab equipment for Grifols, we shrink wrapped and palletized items, which is not necessarily stuff we do on our everyday jobs. But we were totally prepared and had everything we needed to complete these services because we had taken the time to get our equipment in order.
Above and Beyond Service
Whether it’s a residential or commercial move, we always handle items with care and aim to give our clients the best moving experience out there. Doing the job right is important to us. When you work with Little Guys, you know you’re in good hands.
