Moving Donated Furniture and Equipment to Local Nonprofits

Little Guys Movers moving donated furniture

Little Guys Movers Bryan/College Station recently helped move donated equipment to Health For All, Inc. Health for All is a nonprofit that provides free primary and preventive health care for low income and medically uninsured individuals. Someone wanted to donate an elliptical machine that Health For All could use for physical therapy, and we moved it as a donated service. In cases like this, we are sometimes able to transport donated items for free or at a discounted rate.

How to Donate

If you or your business has furniture or equipment you no longer need, donating them to a nonprofit is a great way to give them a second life. One way to go about this is to research local charities in your area or ask your employees if they have any nonprofit connections. Reach out to these organizations and see if they could use any of your unwanted items.

Another option is to share about your items on social media. Ask your friends and followers if they know of a nonprofit who could use the donated furniture or equipment.

Finally, you can search online for organizations that collect donations. Search something like “charity pick up near me” and see if you find anything that feels like a good fit. Although you may not get to choose a specific local charity in need, this can be a simple way to donate.
