Being a Little Guy is about so much more than moving stuff — we want to have a real impact wherever we go. Sometimes that looks like creating the best possible moving experience for a customer, and other times it means donating our services for a good cause.
We love helping out local organizations that are making a difference in our communities. We believe Waco isn’t just where we work: it’s where we live our lives, and we want to invest in it and make it better in any way we can.
That’s why we jumped at the chance to assist Friends for Life. Friends for Life is a nonprofit in Waco that provides services like guardianship, money management, and life skills programs for the elderly and people living with disabilities. Their goal is to give people the tools they need to live the fullest life possible, particularly those who don’t have family to care for them.
Friends for Life contacted us to help them move furniture that was donated to their Adult Day Center. The Adult Day Center offers the elderly and people with disabilities a place to socialize, take part in fun activities, and receive quality care while their regular caregivers work or take a break. It’s a program that is life-changing for the participants and their families, and we were happy to help move brand new, donated furniture into the facility.
