The Murfreesboro Greenway boasts 17 miles of stunning trails for hiking, biking, and enjoying nature. It’s a staple of the community, so we were happy to recently have the chance to help keep it clean and beautiful.
At Little Guys Movers, giving back to our community is part of who we are. We were looking for more opportunities to volunteer and all it took was one call to the Murfreesboro Parks Department! They were ecstatic to have our help and pointed us to the Murfreesboro Greenway. The Greenway always needs volunteers to pick up trash and keep it looking its best. The Parks Department let us know about a few of the trailheads that tend to need more attention, so we focused our initial efforts there.
Countless people visit our Greenway, especially when the weather is nice. Many of the trailheads are connected to parks like playgrounds, enclosed dog parks, picnic areas, and ballfields. The Greenway even hosts an art festival in late summer where local artists come to display and sell their work. We loved getting to spend a gorgeous day cleaning up this important element of our community.
The Greenway can always benefit from some TLC, so we intend to make this an ongoing part of our community service efforts. Helping to maintain our Greenway is just another way that Little Guys can keep Murfreesboro beautiful.
