Little Guys Movers Goes Pink

Three Little Guys Movers in San Antonio help out at the Paint the Parkway Pink event.

Move over black and orange — October is all about pink.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause that is close to our hearts at Little Guys Movers. We’ve raised money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the past, and this was our second time participating in San Antonio’s Paint the Parkway Pink event.

Paint the Parkway Pink raises money for the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation. The event includes a 5k timed run, a one mile fun run, and a kids’ fun run.

This year, Little Guys Movers donated our time and assistance unloading boxes of water, breaking down the event, loading equipment, and passing out water bottles to runners. We particularly had a great time encouraging the runners as they sped by — it was a great feeling to be a part of the race in this small way.

“It’s important to give a helping hand — along with a little bit of muscle — to aid our community in the battle against breast cancer,” says Branch Manager Logan Ford. “Little Guys Movers in San Antonio looks forward to participating in this event every year.”

Don’t miss this incredible community event next year (follow it on Facebook here)! You can also give back by donating directly to the Thrivewell Foundation at thrivewell.org.
