Branch Manager Little Guy sinceAfter working for years in restaurants and warehouses, I was looking for something new to try as I transitioned into a more stable career. I only planned on working here for six months, but the culture and camaraderie really captivated me. I had never had a job I actually looked forward to waking up and going to before Little Guys, and the rest is history. I had a lot of jobs before Little Guys, but I had never worked anywhere where management actually cared about my personal well-being and helping me reach my goals in life. When the possibility of upward mobility arose, I saw a career path where I could help motivate others the same way I was.
I spent several years primarily in the field, then started auditing all of our drivers’ paper logs because mine were always spot on. I gradually transitioned into a more sales- and management-oriented role over the years. As some of my now long-term friends moved on to bigger and greater things, I was fortunate to continue carrying their torch. There are few jobs where you can get so many different types of work experience in one place. Manual labor, of course, but then you move on to learn how to manage others, experience driving commercial vehicles, and help people get through some of the most stressful situations that can arise in life. If you have the drive to work hard and to learn skills that will set you up no matter where you decide to go in life, Little Guys Movers is an amazing place to work. The freedom that comes from having a job you love, and coworkers that are like family, is something that just can't be quantified. I wouldn't give it up for anything!

What do you do when you’re not moving people? Hang out with friends and sim racing.
Who do you look up to and why? My father. He’s always driven for work or enjoyment.
What’s something you’re proud of that has nothing to do with work? I’m the #1-ranked driver in Tennessee on my sim racing platform.
What’s the best thing about your job? Coworkers and the environment.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Germany or the Netherlands.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever helped someone move? A baby grand piano from the 2nd floor.

What do you do when you’re not moving people? Teach kids martial arts and play volleyball with friends.
Who do you look up to and why? Dusty Sands – He’s taught me martial arts and many life lessons since I was 5 years old.
What is your go-to restaurant or meal in your city? Curry House – Chicken tikka masala with garlic naan.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever helped someone move? A 2-foot-tall stone Buddha statue

What do you do when you’re not moving people? Play card games, hang out with friends, Uber, and build model kits.
Who do you look up to and why? My favorite fictional character is the player character, The Warrior of Light, from Final Fantasy 14 online. The Warrior of Light will always find a way to find a new path forward, even if it gets dire.
What’s something you’re proud of that has nothing to do with work? I’m currently designing my own video game story and characters.
What’s the best thing about your job? I adore the crew and our relationships. Everyone is cool with each other, which makes the workplace a bit warmer.

What do you do when you’re not moving people? I like to paint, and I’ve made that a little side business. I also like to work on cars.
Who do you look up to and why? My dad. He’s a big reason I am the way I am and my main inspiration for going to school to study the trade I’m most interested in.
What is your go-to restaurant or meal in Murfreesboro? Sushin, a local sushi spot owned by a cute old couple.
What did you think moving would be like before you started — and what surprised you? I was more surprised at how working here doesn’t feel like work. I get paid to move furniture with people I consider my friends, and have fun with the customers, too.

How do you spend your free time? Most of my free time is spent playing drums at different churches in Murfreesboro. I also love soccer, running, and hiking/camping.
Who do you look up to and why? I look up to guys like Eric Liddell and Dietrich Bonhoeffer because of their willingness to stand up for what they believe in the face of adversity.
What’s your fave restaurant/meal in your city? I love a prime rib sandwich from The Chop House with mac and cheese on the side.
What’s the best thing about your job? The best part about my job is serving people and seeing our work make people’s day.
