Our story takes us back to 1992, to a humble town in North Texas called Denton. It was here that a man named Marcus Watson had a simple dream, and together with a few buddies and a couple of Toyota pickups, the rich legacy that is Little Guys Movers began…

In March of 2013, Little Guys opened the doors to their new shop in Greensboro, North Carolina – the easternmost point of the Piedmont Triad. The location had been identified as the rightful next stop in the LGM saga because of its rich culture and its place as one of the primary manufacturing and transportation hubs in the region. The Greensboro team was revved and ready to emerge themselves into a community that felt an awful lot like home.

Being the new kid at school doesn’t come without some setbacks, however. As with any business entering a new market, Little Guys had to overcome the challenge of their lack of reputation in the area. Luckily, they found that diligence and hard work translated well in the Triad, and it wasn’t long before they found a solid connection both with their customer base and a staff that fit right in with the Little Guys culture.

In 2014, veteran Little Guy Trent Abel left the Lubbock store in order to step into the shoes of Branch Manager of this location. Since then, he’s been painting the town Little Guys green (literally!) and finding ways to apply the values that helped LGM get where it is now: honesty, hard work, and taking care of people.
